𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗯𝗶𝗰𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗲. 𝗜𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

In every city, the largest bicycle fleet already exists.

It belongs to residents, employees, students, tenants and visitors. Much of that fleet, however, remains underused—stored in garages, basements, apartment storage rooms and office bike cages.

The challenge is not always access to a bicycle. The challenge is giving people enough confidence to use the bicycles and e-bikes they already own for more of their everyday trips.

That is the purpose of 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆™. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗶𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝗔𝗹𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲

Activated Mobility™ starts from a simple reality: communities do not always need to introduce more bicycles to increase cycling.

They can begin by unlocking the potential of the bicycles already in place. This approach complements bike-sharing by addressing a different need. Bike-sharing gives people temporary access to a bicycle. Activated Mobility™ provides the secure, connected infrastructure people need to use their own bicycles and e-bikes more often. For many people, ownership is not the barrier. Confidence at the destination is.

Before leaving home, cyclists still need answers to practical questions:

• Will a secure parking space be available when I arrive?
• Will my bicycle still be there when I return?
• Can I secure the frame, wheels, battery and accessories?
• Where can I leave my helmet and personal belongings?
• Can I recharge my e-bike safely?

When those questions remain unanswered, many potential cycling trips never begin.

𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹

Transportation planning often concentrates on movement: bicycle lanes, trails, intersections, vehicles and public transit connections. But every trip must end somewhere. At the destination, cyclists need secure parking, predictable access and, increasingly, safe e-bike charging.

𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆™ addresses this missing part of the journey: the arrival. By combining 𝗩𝗲𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗲 with the 𝗕𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗢𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘀 platform, it creates the physical and digital infrastructure required to complete the trip. Velovoute provides secure, individually protected bicycle and e-bike parking, with integrated storage for helmets, batteries, and accessories. Bike Oasis connects users to those destinations through a mobile application that displays available services and the number of available parking spaces in real time. When smart padlocks are installed, users can reserve a specific secure space before beginning their trip. They arrive knowing that a space is waiting for them.

𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗕𝗶𝗰𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲

Conventional bicycle parking provides a place to attach a lock. 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆™ transforms that passive infrastructure into a connected service.

It combines:

• Secure bicycle and e-bike parking
• Real-time availability
• Advance reservations
• Smart, keyless access
• Integrated charging services
• Secure battery and accessory storage
• Automated subscriptions and payments
• Usage and transaction data
• Public and private access policies

Each destination displayed in Bike Oasis is represented by an icon identifying the services available at that location, such as secure parking, e-bike charging or bicycle rentals. Users can understand what is available before travelling and confirm the number of open spaces in real time.

𝗔 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝗢𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀

𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆™ is designed to minimize operational burden. Property owners and operators define their access policies, eligible users, available services, and applicable rates. Bike Oasis then manages access, reservations, subscriptions and payments where applicable. There is no need to manually distribute keys, supervise each transaction, or administer every user request.

The system can support:

• Public access
• Residents and tenants
• Employees
• Students
• Authorized private groups
• Hourly or daily rates
• Monthly or seasonal subscriptions
• Complimentary access
• Paid parking and charging

This flexibility allows each destination to operate according to its own objectives.

𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗘-𝗕𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀

The growth of e-bike ownership creates new responsibilities for building owners, residential operators and employers. Batteries are valuable, heavy and sensitive electronic components. Improper charging, damaged batteries or incompatible charging equipment can increase fire risk. 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆™ provides a safer alternative to charging and storing batteries inside apartments, offices, hallways or common interior spaces.

By locating bicycle parking, battery storage and charging infrastructure in a dedicated, ventilated and controlled environment, building operators can reduce the risks associated with unmanaged indoor charging. For tenants and employees, this creates a more convenient and reassuring experience. For building owners, it supports clearer policies, better control and improved risk management.

𝗔 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝘁-𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝘀𝘁-𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹

𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆™ is built around a profit-sharing model rather than an ongoing cost-sharing model.

Instead of requiring participating organizations to continually absorb operating expenses, it creates a framework in which infrastructure owners, operators and platform partners share in the value generated by the service.

Revenue can come from:

• Secure parking
• E-bike charging
• Hourly or daily access
• Subscriptions
• Tenant or employee mobility programs
• Additional mobility services

Organizations can also choose to provide access at no charge where the strategic value lies in tenant satisfaction, employee benefits, transportation-demand management or ESG performance.

The operating model remains flexible, but the infrastructure is designed to create measurable value.

𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗨𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘀

For cyclists, 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆™ provides confidence and convenience.

They can:

• Find secure destinations
• See available services
• Confirm availability in real time
• Reserve a secure space
• Access the space through the app
• Store helmets, batteries and accessories
• Recharge an e-bike where available
• Pay through the platform when required

Most importantly, they can use a bicycle or e-bike they already know, trust and have selected for their own needs.

𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀

For municipalities and public agencies, 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆™ offers a practical way to expand active mobility without creating a new bicycle fleet.

It can:

• Support existing cycling infrastructure
• Improve first- and last-kilometre connections
• Reduce bicycle theft concerns
• Create secure destinations near transit and public facilities
• Generate measurable usage data
• Expand incrementally, one site at a time
• Connect public and private destinations
• Reduce fleet-related maintenance and redistribution costs
• Support climate and congestion objectives

A municipality can begin with one strategic destination and expand the network as demand becomes visible.

𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝗢𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘀

For property owners, employers, universities and operators, 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆™ creates a modern mobility amenity without the complexity of fleet management.

It can:

• Improve tenant and employee satisfaction
• Support workplace mobility programs
• Help manage bicycle access
• Provide safer battery charging and storage
• Generate service revenue
• Strengthen ESG performance
• Improve site utilization data
• Reduce administrative workload
• Differentiate a property or campus
• Connect the location to a broader mobility network

Each new destination increases the value of the overall system.

𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗯𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻

𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆™ is not intended to replace every existing mobility service.

It complements public transit, cycling infrastructure, bike-sharing and other transportation options by serving people who prefer to use their own bicycles and e-bikes. Bike-sharing provides access to a shared bicycle.

𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆™ provides confidence at the destination. Together, these approaches can serve different users, different trips and different mobility needs.

𝗔 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲

𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆™ does not require a large system-wide deployment at the outset.

It can begin with:

• One residential building
• One workplace
• One transit station
• One municipal facility
• One campus
• One hotel
• One trailhead
• One commercial destination

Additional sites can be added progressively. Through Bike Oasis, these individual destinations become part of a connected network of secure parking, charging and mobility services.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝗔𝗹𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗕𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲

Cities and organizations do not necessarily need to begin by purchasing more bicycles. They can begin by helping people use the bicycles and e-bikes they already own. 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆™ creates value by connecting those bicycles with the secure destinations people need. Users gain confidence and convenience. Municipalities expand active mobility with a lower operational burden. Property owners and operators benefit from a connected, measurable, and revenue-generating service.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗶𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲. 𝗟𝗲𝘁’𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲.

Why 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆™ works for everyone.
